Mohair generally has a tendency to fluff; this is a natural process and not a defect.

It is recommended to shake it out repeatedly, also on the left. This first removes the loose fibers that were created by processing the wool and sewing it. If you shake it out repeatedly before and after each use, the lint will subside after a while. Or you can store the knitted item tucked away in a plastic bag in the freezer for at least 48 hours to hold the fibers in place.
